Some of Peng Dang’s material was genuinely funny. When Tony came out and did his thing, it wasn’t an attack on the Chinese dude, he was busting on the audience, and they mostly seem to get that. Tony made some racial jokes, but they weren’t mean-spirited, unless you’re the type of person who is looking for mean-spirited…but if that’s the case, don’t go to live comedy. It’s obviously not for you. The cheap shot that was taken was when Peng tried to use Tony’s material against him, trying to make him look racist. Tony had Peng open for him several times and could easily have helped him become a very successful comic, if Peng had taken that approach. Instead, he tried to take the victim approach and will never be trusted by any other professional comic again, for as long as he lives. He literally shit on every chance he had of being marginally successful in that arena, for a cheap, pointless moment of virtue signaling.

“Rock” music has been split into too many genres and micro genres. And for a long time it split the fanbase into those genres and they would hate on eachothers genre even tho they should all just support the music they like and not worry about labeling it. I’ve never seen an interview with any artist where they define their sound to a specific genre when asked cuz they don’t wanna be labeled but the fans label every slightly different style of rock and heavy metal cuz they make it their entire personality
